Abstract

In this paper an attempt is made to study the Thermo-structural response of a simply supported laminated hybrid composite plate subjected to transverse load with variable ply angles and aspect ratios by using First Order Shear Deformation Theory (FSDT). The FSDT is implemented for the static analysis problem through the MATLAB code and validated with the published results. Then the developed code is further extended for the thermo-structural analysis problems for hybrid composite plates using sub-lamination scheme. Numerical results are generated for different hybrid composite plates subjected to transverse and thermal loading. A parametric study has been carried out to find the best possible hybrid composite for thermal stability.
