Simulation of Six Phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator in MATLAB

Abstract

this paper presents the simulation of six phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) using simulink/Matlab. The machine consist of two sets of three phase winding or double stator windings each set displaced by 30 degree. In order to simplify the analysis the six phase equations of the machine are transformed into synchronously rotating dq frame. The machine output is obtained across the resistive load connected to the stator terminals. Rotor is modeled as internal dynamics equation. Steady state and transient behavior of the machine is obtained as simulation results.
